Finance Assistant

The Role
As the Finance Assistant you will be a crucial part of the Finance department, handling day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring the financial health of MVP Factory and Ness is accurately tracked.
In the role you will...
  • Conduct collection activities and communicate with partners to ensure timely payments.
  • Process invoices and handle accounts payable duties including establishing vendor records, verifying and entering invoices, and preparing payments.
  • Support the Finance Manager with month-end closing activities. 
  • Manage daily processing of the accounting mailbox.
  • Execute inter-company settlements and create outgoing invoices.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
  • Participate in the preparation of financial reports and ensure compliance with German GAAP and tax regulations.
Your profile
  • 1 -3 years experience within an accounting capacity, skilled in preparation of accounting records.
  • Experience with invoicing, vendor payments, monthly close and reporting globally, prep accounting.
  • You have a good track record of working collaboratively and successfully in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment, bonus if you have worked in a fast-paced  start-up environment. 
  • Solid understanding of regulations, German local GAAP, US GAAP, HGB, IFRS  
  • Spreadsheet savvy, confident in excel / google sheets - navigating accounting softwares and ERP tools - SAP 
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven track record of collaborating successfully with stakeholders at all organizational levels, both internally and externally.
  • Knowledge of German Local GAAP and taxation is beneficial.
  • You have first-class verbal and written communication skills, in English (C1) and German (C1).
